Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PropertyVue (“the Service”), operated at getpropertyvue.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PropertyVue is a multi-property dashboard that integrates with Ring cameras via the Ring Appstore API. The Service allows you to view camera events, manage properties, configure alerts, and generate incident reports across your Ring device portfolio. PropertyVue is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ring or Amazon.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Ring Account Authorization

To use the Service, you must authorize PropertyVue to access your Ring account via OAuth. By doing so, you:

• Grant us permission to read your Ring devices and receive event notifications
• Acknowledge that we store OAuth tokens to maintain your connection
• May revoke access at any time through the Settings page or your Ring account
• Understand that revoking access will disable the Service for your account

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Use the Service to monitor individuals without their knowledge where required by law
• Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent security measures
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent

6. Privacy and Surveillance Laws

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Ring cameras and the Service complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding video surveillance, recording, and privacy. This includes but is not limited to providing required notices to tenants, guests, or other individuals who may be recorded. PropertyVue does not provide legal advice regarding surveillance compliance.

7. Subscription and Billing

• The Free tier is available at no cost with limited features.
• Paid subscriptions (Pro, Agency) are billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time.
• Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service depends on third-party APIs (Ring, Supabase, Vercel) that are outside our control. We are not liable for downtime or data delays caused by Ring API outages, webhook delivery failures, or other third-party issues.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by PropertyVue. “Ring” is a trademark of Ring LLC, an Amazon company. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners. Your data remains yours; we claim no ownership over content you create within the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PropertyVue shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, property damage, or personal injury arising from your use of the Service. The Service is a monitoring dashboard and is not a substitute for professional security systems or emergency services. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times. We do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of event data received from Ring.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
